Get Involved

women with sunflowersOver the years, the Southeast Wise Women community has grown into an amazing web which continues to gather momentum and grow more powerful each year. Including all the participants, teachers, vendors, volunteers, youth, sponsors, and staff, the gathering has grown from 200 in our first year to over a thousand strong! Your passion, talent and enthusiasm nurtures and nourishes this community into something more powerful each year.

This year, we invite you to support this community growing, deepening, and maturing. We hope you'll get involved and lend your unique gifts and passions to this gathering . . . bring your instrument or your voice to the evening fires. Offer a listening ear to a woman beside you at the dining table or the Red Tent. Bring your sisters along with you this year. Celebrate the bonds between women, in a vibrant, joyful, and loving community!

Spreading the word

Nobody knows your neighborhood and community as well as you do, from health food stores and yoga centers to coffee shops and herbal clinics. Ask us for posters and handout cards to distribute in your area. Let us know if you're a practioner or business owner, and we'll send extra handout cards and few posters for your lobby or waiting room. Thank you for co-creating this growing web of wise women!

2019 buttons and banners are available for you to link to the conference site from your website, emails, social media, etc.

Volunteering is a vital and fun part of the conference and helps bring this event to life. We rely on the commitment and competence of the women who “weave the web” as volunteers each year—women who enjoy their conference experience being as much about service as it is about attending classes. Volunteers, aka Web Weavers, help with all aspects of creating the conference from greeting and parking, to set-up and clean-up, to class production, and in-advance outreach. Experience the satisfaction of working with a team of strong women as well as access to conference classes and events.

2018 vendor group

Throughout the weekend, check out our outdoor and indoor marketplaces featuring a select group of woman-run, earth-friendly, mostly local businesses. Bustling with activity during class breaks, participants enjoy shopping for herbal products, clothes, plants, house wares, and handicrafts.

The vendor application deadline has passed. Take a look at the 2019 Marketplace Vendors here.

Note: The conference is seeking food vendors; if you run a food truck–or van, canopy, etc–and wish to explore setting up to sell meals at the event, please contact us directly for information specific to food vendors.

Donating to the scholarship program

table with shell mandalaWith the support of contributions from the community, there are a limited number of scholarships available for women who otherwise would be unable to attend.

Support racial equity at the conference: This event focuses on women’s health, from a perspective of empowerment and self love, including overcoming internalized oppression. For women of color, day-to-day experiences of systemic racism, micro-aggressions, and internalized oppression add up to huge health risk factors. Therefore, we consider the dynamics of racism an important aspect of women’s health to address, individually and collectively. To read more about racial equity focus at this conference, see Our Philosophy.

Scholarships are prioritized for those in need of financial assistance who are in the following criteria: 1) Women of color, and young women of color ages 10-17, or 2) Women with physical disabilities/limitations, veterans. Whether or not you're attending the conference this year, you’re invited to support racial equity at the conference by making a donation today through Paypal, by following the button below:
